In January 2003 I was given the gift of a lifetime, a 5-year-old Arab mare named Alyrica.  This web site documents our journey together from green broke to (I trust someday) seasoned trail and endurance horse.  This gift is not only incredible, it is frightening as I am in charge of training a 800 pound animal that can be expected to live into her 30?s.  I share my good days and the bad, what works and what does not in hopes to help and inspire others to live their dreams. 

This web site is dedicated to anyone who ever dreamed of owing their own Black Stallion.  I also dedicate this site to my husband, Jerry who loves me so  much he will live with horses and our daughter Danielle, the best little cowgirl in Elfin Forest!
